The mechanics of the fight revolve around the four platforms in the room: Standing in the acid water will cause a DoT that increases over time. Standing on a platform for a few seconds will allow the DoT to wear off. Platforms will crumble if more than one person is on them for more than a few seconds. Frothmar will throw rocks that cause AoE knockbacks and stuns at someone not currently on a platform. Frothmar will send out darkwaters to attack platforms. It's possible to have people rotate out if they act quickly, but it's safer to designate four people to stay on the platforms for the entire fight and have everyone else stay in the water, treating it as a DPS race against the DoTs. Ideally there should be two red-line hunters on opposite corners and two healers on the other two corners, allowing each hunter to protect both healers' platforms as well as their own platform, and each healer to reach both hunters. Other ranged classes can help with darkwaters as well. To prevent non-platformers from being knocked onto a platform or from knocking off nearby platformers with the AoE from a rock, the tank should stand with their back to the back wall, and the rest of the group should stand on the opposite side with their backs to the door. This will ensure that no rocks go in the direction of a platform.

Background The source of the poisoned waters has several places of safety. Taunt the evil there by always having each location be occupied by a hero of the Free Peoples. Objective 1 Reach the source of the poisoned waters Deep beyond the diseased infestation lies the source of the poison waters. Once you find it, make sure each safe location is occupied by a hero of the Free Peoples. Objective 2 Defeat Frothmar All platforms must remain occupied All platforms must survive the battle Continue to occupy and defend each safe location with a hero of the Free Peoples. All safe locations must survive the battle.
